Misting System Use and Care

Once properly installed your system will provide many years of trouble-free use if you follow the easy care guidelines. Filter replacement is very important. Our carbon/phosphate filter has a 750 gallon life span. With average use, the filter will need to be replaced approximately every 30-60 days. Below is a chart for tracking filter replacement.

If a nozzle becomes clogged, lightly tapping the fitting may clear an occasional bit of debris. If not remove the nozzle with a wrench (Not Pliers) and soak in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Thirty to sixty minutes is often enough: however overnight may be necessary. It is always better to disassemble nozzles for a more thorough cleaning. Nozzles can be reinstalled with Teflon tape or a small amount of Teflon paste for a cleaner appearance.

Pump systems will clog less frequently. To activate pump simply turn timer to desired length of activation. This should activate the entire system (if not check water and power supply). Then select the percentage of boost to your preference.
